Renaming a folder causes problems with the rules referring to it.

Let’ suppose I have a rule which moves my incoming mails into the “myfriend” folder when it is received from “[email protected]”. If I rename the folder from “myfriend” to “my_best_friend” then the rule will not work anymore.

In such cases emclient should warn me:
The folder to be renamed is referred to in the following rules:
…

Emc should also ask my choice:

  • disable depending rules
  • delete depending rules
  • modifying depending rules properly
  • cancel renaming folder

Hi,
thanks for your suggestion. As you are not first complaining about the issue we decided to consider how to correct the behavior. It will be available with some next version/update of eM Client.
