I had to reset Win 10 1909 ; and re-loaded eM Client , set as default, but it will not receive emails. I just can’t seem to get it to work… HELP…
Any errors Dave? Look in Menu > Tools > Operations, then in the Log tab.
A common cause of eM Client not connecting is when it is blocked by an anti-virus application. If you have anything other than Windows Defender, temporarily disable it and see if there is any difference.
Can’t say if 1909 is an issue, as having just been released, it is an unknown.
Also, you did not say which version of eM Client you are using. If it is 7.2.36465, best to download and install the latest version from the Release History.
Thanks Gary. I am using the latest ver 7.2.36908.0, and I only have Defender. I had eM C before I had pc problems, and it worked great. But just can’t seem to get it to work now…
The log would be a good place to look for a hint of what is not happening.
Gary, just for your info…I uninstalled “eM Client” and downloaded “Mailbird”, installed it, set my email address, and wa-la…my email is working.
I actually quite like Mailbird. Nice and simple, and pretty. It originated on the Mac, so it has that Apple polish to it.
