Recurring tasks start/due dates

Recurring tasks set up in Outlook/Exchange show start/due dates of the first occurrence of the task instead of the next future occurrence.  Am I missing something?

Hi Alex,

Could you please upload a screenshot of the issue where it shows the start/due date?

Thank you.

Russel, changing the subject, which option should I choose to import from Outlook 365?

Hi Idacil,

Please see the guide on our website for Office 365 account setting: https://www.emclient.com/em-with-microsoft-office-365.

Russel

Thank you, Russel, I have seen the link, but I would like you to answer my question directly. I would also like to “zero” the import I made 1 year ago and make a new one now. What’s the procedure?

For configuring the Office 365 account use either Autosetup or the Mail > Exchange option.

If you have this account set as EWS already, just delete it in Menu > Tools > Accounts and then and you can reconfigure it. All your data will be pulled from the server.

Russel,
Here are two screenshots showing the same recurring tasks.  The first one shows tasks in eM.  The second one shows the same tasks in Outlook Web App.  The tasks look the same in Outlook 365.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for the screenshots. I forwarded this issue for testing and I got following result:

In eM Client, the recurring tasks work flawlessly if you check the “Done” boxes when each recurrence passes. Otherwise, you’ll always see the last “undone” recurrence in the Due date and the rest of the recurrences then remain invisible.

My recurring tasks were created a long time ago in Outlook.  I’ve completed multiple occurrences of each task since creating them.  Again using Outlook.  In Outlook each task currently shows the next date in the future.
Then I installed eM client.  It looks like eM client, despite the fact it could see history, was not able to figure out the date of the next occurrence.  I wonder if a use case with an old recurring task already in progress was tested.
