Received timestamp on email wrong - timezone problem

I’ve testing out eM Client to see if it can replace my Outlook. So far it seems really great, but I see one error: When I receive emails, some of them gets listed with a wrong time for receiving them.

For instance an email received correctly at 23:46 in Outlook can be shown as received at 01:45 in eM Client.

When I open up the header of the email it says amongst others:

“Received: by s.blocket.se (Postfix, from userid 501) id 5B7422265C; Mon, 18 Aug 2014 23:45:51 +0200 (CEST)”

That is the same timezone as I’m located, which is CEST +2 hours. Outlook shows it correctly, but eM Client jumps 2 hours into the future (and sometimes differs one minute too for some reason).

Will this bug be fixed or is it something I can do to correct it?

Hi Astri, what version of eM Client are you currently using? What mail service provider are you using?

Thank you,
Paul.

I’m using the latest version 6.0.20648.0.
My mail service provider is imap.domeneshop.no.

Are you by any chance using any proxy settings?
Can you please go to Tools > Settings > Advanced and turn on IMAP logging for the problematic account?

  1. Save the settings
  2. Restart the application
  3. Replicate the issue
When the issue occurs, can you please go back to the advanced settings window and click on “Send Logs” and send the logs to mcgregor@emclient.com with a reference link to this forum topic?
Also can you please include an exported email message that you’re having issues with? You can export the message into .eml file by drag and dropping it onto the email or your desktop, etc.

Thank you,
Paul.

Will do. Logging activated for correct account and eM Client restarted. Will send you the email as soon as I’ve encountered the problem again. Thank you so far!
