Received email without signature

Just received customer email with his signature.
I can see his signature on webemail but it’s missing in emclient / thunderbird. However, I can see the signature in foxmail.
I think someting related to the conversation handling may be related to this issue. But after disabling the conversation mode, I still don’t see the signature.

Any suggestion? Thanks.

Could be you are not viewing in HTML mode.

"Right click in the Body of the email” and select “Format / HTML” on the popout menu that appears. See if that then views the signature ok.

I change from html (my default) to plain text and now have the signature.
So should I set plain text view as default to avoid such an issue or any other options?

Thanks.

Ah ok so it “could be an old style text signature” or a “non standard text signature” coding in some way. Normally text signatures work even in HTML mail view.

So should I set plain text view as default to avoid such an issue or any other options?

I personally “wouldn’t default to plain text view” and would just change on the fly in eM Client for that senders email via the right click on the email.

As most people around the globe send mail in html view, I personally would just advise the sender that the signature doesn’t work in a standard HTML mail client view. They really should update it their end so it still works in HTML view. All my own text based signatures work fine in HTML view.

Yes you could change your default mail read view in “eM Client settings” to text view, but then you might not see all the other normal standard web based html email content in most emails.

So all depends on how many senders you have who send with that type of signature & if you do get alot of HTML content or mainly text stuff.

Well noted, Thank you.
I also tried outlook and it didn’t show the signature either.
