When sending new or replying to email, with a fresh, default, newly setup eM Client for Android. All of the real names (which are visible at time of composition), are stripped from the email headers when sent, so the recipients see just, To: address1(at)domain, address2(at)domain, etc. Not as I would expect like, To: “Bob’s Address” <address1(at)domain>, “Jane’s Address” <address2(at)domain>,
Example straight from received email header (and edited for privacy):
From: “Some Guy” <some.guy(at)address.email>
To: some.guy(at)address.email
Subject: Hey there, this is a test!
Date: Thu, 25 Jun 2026 13:20:10 +0000
Instead of the expected:
From: “Some Guy” <some.guy(at)address.email>
To: “Some Guy” <some.guy(at)address.email>
Subject: Hey there, this is a test!
Date: Thu, 25 Jun 2026 13:20:10 +0000
This is looking kind of unprofessional, when the standard is to show the ‘real name’ of the recipients. I know that having only the address is the minimalist old-school original way using email but these days it seems out of place.
Any tips tricks or help? I’ve tried doing the search engine self help steps first before asking here.
