Read Status - Notifications not in Sync

Not sure if this is an issue/limitation of emclient or with Android itself but the email notifications that sit in my notification bar on my Android device remain there in the unread state long after I’ve read them on my desktop client.

When I launch the app on my device it seems to sync up fine which in turn removes the notifications but this seems like a long way round to achieve something so basic.

Any ideas?

This is something to ask on an Android forum. Regardless of what email client or webmail interface you use, the Android notification will not be removed when the message is marked as read on the server.
