imagine this: you have a new customer and want his emails all tagged with his name.
We cannot do this from the general view or from the email message view.
There is no SHORT CUT to do so either.
As far as I know, you have to dig into the settings, tag l ist, add, new, creat. then back to your work and add the new tag.
Way, but way! too much work…
Presuming you already have Tags setup via “Menu / Tags”
Once you have Tags setup, you can then quickly Tag an email two different ways.
1). Right click on the toolbar along the top and click “Customise”.
Then add “Tag” option from the left side to the right in any order you like on the toolbar. Then you can just quickly tag any email as example below. Thats how i normally quickly tag any email via the dropdown.
2). If you have the latest V10.2.1712 (Beta) via the release history page, you can now just type on the keyboard the letter T and that will bring up Quick Tag window. where you can “type a few letters of a tag or label” name as in this example Red tag.
Much appreciated! But… Your method, the software, indeed, does not provide an option to CREATE new Tags directly navigating messages. So the feature request remains: create tags on the spot without deep diving in menus.
With optionally a tiny dialogue when you type in the Tag Search: “Tag not found, Create?”
I know it’s not using a Tag, but I’m wondering whether it might be worth looking at a “Search Folder.”
If you copy and paste the E-Mail address into the Search bar (also Command-E for access) and then choose “Create Search Folder…” (from the drop down next to the magnifying glass), it will add this smart search to your lists on the left.
This may, in effect, give you what you’re after?

But… it’s not sync’ed to the mobile eM client (android) 
So from a professional point of view, we cannot organize e-mail in any way or form (on more than 1 device)
An additional and forefront problem of option 1 is, once an incoming email is organized on your computer in a folder, it’s gone from your mobile eM client.
So how do you guys and gals organize your inbox between your PC and phone/tablet!?
Version 10.3, which is to be released in couple of days will come with much quicker selection of existing tags. For quicker tag creation, please create a feature request on our Sleekplan. It sounds like a reasonable feature request to me, so we’ll definitely consider it.
