The Quick Actions feature is a great addition, but I’ve encountered two limitations that are preventing me from fully utilizing it to create my own Quick Actions:
Lack of an “Archive” action: This is an essential feature for my workflow, and its absence is a significant drawback.
Inability to combine “Untag” and “Tag” actions in the same Quick Action: It’s frustrating that I cannot replace one tag with another (remove A and add B) within the same Quick Action. This restriction seems counterintuitive and limits the functionality of Quick Actions.
Hello,
thank you for the feedback. We’ve added an Archive action and possibility to have Untag and Tag actions in the same Quick Action. It will be available in the next update.
Here’s another one that is missing for seamless QuickActions. This function is available for manual interaction:
“Tags: none”
In the case of Quick Actions it would rather be
“Untag: all”
There’s also one problem I note with it - if you have an e-mail that has pixel tracking, there is no way to automatically reject/accept the tracking before continuing with the Quick Action.
Eg., if you set the Quick Action to Forward the e-mail, you must manually acceptor reject pixel tracking in order to then carry on with the Quick Action.
@Michal_Burger Is there any way you can add a feature that automatically accepts/declines pixel tracking during a Quick Action?
The other workaround I thought of was creating a Search folder for Forwarded items, which I can periodically delete (or automatically if that was a function in the future).
However, this does not work with Conversation view on, as it displays ALL messages in the thread instead of just the one searched for (the e-mail Forwarded to a particular address). So then if I delete, it deletes all messages.
