My new version 9.22258 opens automatically when I turn on the computer. Is there a way to activate it when I choose??
Go to “Menu / Settings / General” and remove the check next to “Run on system startup” & Save & Close.

How do I make em client my primary/default email service??
See @Gary link below on how to set eM Client as the default mailer in Windows 10 or 11. Just Set all the following options .eml, ics, .msg, note, vcf & Mailto to eM Client.
Note:- Once you have then set eM Client as default mailer, shutdown & restart your computer.
I no longer need my Windows Mail account, but I don’t want to loose the email that are there.
You don’t loose any emails in a mail client when you make another mailer default.
