Questions about V9.22258

Need direct answers. My new version 9.22258 opens automatically when I turn on the computer. Is there a way to activate it when I choose??

Also, How do I make em client my primary/default email service?? I previously used Windows Mail, and have a secondary service with Mail.com. Sometimes my new emails are sent to Mail.com instead of em client. I no longer need my Windows Mail account, but I don’t want to loose the email that are there.

Please reply. Thanks.

Go to “Menu / Settings / General” and remove the check next to “Run on system startup” & Save & Close.

(eM Client Windows example)

How do I make em client my primary/default email service??

See @Gary link below on how to set eM Client as the default mailer in Windows 10 or 11. Just Set all the following options .eml, ics, .msg, note, vcf & Mailto to eM Client.

Note:- Once you have then set eM Client as default mailer, shutdown & restart your computer.

You don’t loose any emails in a mail client when you make another mailer default.

Go to “Menu / Settings / General” and remove the check next to “Run on system startup” & Save & Close.
I did this and it worked.

Just Set all the following options .eml, ics, .msg, note, vcf & Mailto to eM Client.

How do I do that? I clicked eM Client, then Manage, and was unsure what to do after that.

Also, after setting eM Client as default, does all email go thru Em Client? And can
I still use the secondary service for my other email address?

I believe you have Windows 10 from your previous posts. See @sunriseal post for another explanation how to set the defaults to be eM Client.

As you use IMAP accounts from you’re previous posts, all your various mail programs “will see the same email no matter what mail program you use”. So just make sure they are all setup as IMAP accounts.

Will my secondary email service & email address still work as before?
(I think it is imap, it was an automatic set up)

Whatever you have setup already will still work the same unless you remove it.

Test emails went into the correct inbox folders. Is that where they are suppose to go?

If test messages are going into the correct inbox folders, then that sounds good to me :slightly_smiling_face:

Great. Thanks so much.

I am having emaill show up at eMClient, disappear and then appear in my secondary email service. I already made eM client my default service, so I thought this was fixed.
Any advice on how to streamline email to only go to eM Client even though I have an account
with the same email address over at mail.com?
