Profile Creation and Offline Access

I have been using eM Client with my Hotmail account and it has been working quite well. I configured it for offline access and created folders to store my mail.

After reading the FAQs and support pages I decided to use eM Client for my personal mail with my Hosted Exchange account, so I:
Created another profile
Set it as my Default profile
Configured it for offline use
Connected to my account
Downloaded my email and put it in folders

Once I finished I closed eM Client and then reopened the app. When the program opened all of my Exchange mail was there and in the proper folders, but the Hotmail profile was empty of all bu the most recent and the folder structure was gone.

I have checked the local database but I am unfamiliar with the file structure/format. Is there a way to retrieve my Hotmail data and folder structure? At this point I am more than a little anxious because my Hotmail account is my de facto gaming account and it contained a lot of user information and credentials.

Pleas help.

Did you have any messages in Local Folders in your Hotmail account profile ?

Also was your Hotmail account configured as IMAP or POP ?

Lastly when you created your second profile for your exchange account, did you specify / choose a different folder for your new profile, or did you use the same profile / folder location ?

Hi Donald,

To expand on what cyberzork mentioned, we would recommend checking whether Local Folders are enabled in the original profile (Menu > Settings > General > Folders > enable Local Folders > Save & Close). Do the missing folders show up?
Also please verify whether the data may actually be accidentally in another location? Do the profile paths match where you stored the data?

You can also try searching across all folders in both profiles for sent/received messages from your Hotmail account to help locate the missing data.

Also, if you save any data locally, we always recommend making periodic backups via menu>Settings>General>Backup or manually via menu>Backup.
