Problems with update install


I was asked to update my EM Client software the other day. I did. There were some issues during the install. It kept asking me to close an application down…this I did, but it kept asking and asking. Eventually, it seemed to install. I wasn’t really paying 100% attention. It’s just an update right?
After this, EM wouldn’t open. I clicked the icon, the timer would come up and nothing would happen. So I went to EM’s actual website and downloaded the latest version on there. I did a “repair” install… See attached for the result.

If you are comfortable executing these steps, give this a try:
(1) Delete any installation files you have downloaded.
(2) Uninstall eM Client, making sure not to delete your database directory when asked. This will ensure your settings and data remain in place.
(3) If it exists, delete C:\Program Files (x86)\eM Client
(4) Download and install the latest version from the Release History.
(5) The latest version of eM Client should then start with all your data in place.
