I’m a new user to eMC on a Mac. I started setting up mail accounts, and after a couple that worked, I tried setting up a Yahoo account using the Automatic Setup option. At the end of the 3 steps, eMC opened a browser window and asked for my Yahoo username and password, which I entered, using my normal password because I forget that Yahoo uses App Passwords for mail clients. So of course the setup failed. I deleted the account and started over. First I created an App Password in Yahoo for eMC and then I went through the manual setup process so that I could enter the App Password. That also failed. For kicks I manually changed the setting from “Use identity credentials” to “Use these credentials” and put my normal password in. That failed. I changed the password back to the App Password from Yahoo and reset eMC to “Use identity credentials”. eMC still fails to download mail. The fascinating this is that eMC downloaded my custom folder structures from the Yahoo servers, but just fails to download any messages. Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!
Similar problem setting up in Windows. No matter what I try, the Yahoo account will not set up.
