Problems sending email from outside the UK

Dear eM Client Support Team

Can you help please - both my husband and I have been using the free version of eM Client in the UK for many years very happily and without any problems at all.

However, we are currently working in Barbados for a few months and we have come across a problem: my emails receive and send perfectly, but my husband account receive but do not send.

We both use the same UK server/provider (talktalk) and have two email addresses but use exactly the same IMAP and SMTP settings - the only thing I notice between the two accounts is that my husbands account has the light grey circle with wavy lines icon by his email address and I have the two grey adjacent triangles symbol by mine on our eM Client settings…
Is this significant at all?

Can you help with a solution as to why my husband’s emails don’t send but mine do?

Many thanks,

Hi Maddog, your described difference sounds like the account avatar, which is just a local image, it does not have any effect on the connection.
Is there any error or warning when you husband tries to send email?
Copy the log from Menu>Operations next time the sending fails, it might contain more details.

Or perhaps your mail account provider might know more - for example if they blocked the account because of suspected misuse (for example someone from another country stealing and using the email to send spam, etc. some servers will block use from other countries - though its curious only your husband’s account is affected, but that can happen). Contacting talktalk’s support might clear this up.
