Problem with PGP

I have generated a PGP certificate.

In most cases it works.

But I can’t decrypt the mails from my bank with the client. The bank’s certificate is installed.

I have installed the certificate generated by em Client in Thunderbird. Thunderbird has fetched the bank’s certificate itself and displays the mails.

For some mail recipients (especially public authorities), my PGP signature is displayed as incorrect. This does not happen when I send signed mails with Thunderbird.

What can I do?

I can only suggest to see if you have setup the PGP certificate correctly in the eM Client online documentation.

“Certificates and Keys” online documentation.

https://www.emclient.com/webdocumentation/en/10.0/emclient/default.htm#Settings/Certificates%20and%20Keys.htm

If you have already done that, then suggest if you have a current active paid Pro or Personal version, go to VIP support page and login and lodge a support ticket.

I now know what the problem is.

em Client does not handle domain certificates.

Example:

[email protected] writes to [email protected].

The mail server detects that [email protected] has published a certificate and encrypts the mail with [email protected].

em Client detects: [email protected] not equal to [email protected] and reports “Problem with encryption”.

I now know what the problem is.

em Client does not handle domain certificates

Have you asked official support via a ticket?

Yes, Yesterday.

Ok did they advise if they are going to support domain certificates in the future ?

No.
