Problem setting up standalone CalDav calendar

Hi,

I’m trying to hook up em Client to a CalDAV server running on my synology NAS.  I’ve tried out Thunderbird/Lightning and have proved the calendar/credentials are working fine.

In emClient when I create the CalDAV account everything appears fine, but nothing appears in the list of calendars. 


From searching the internet I get the impression that there should possibly be an email account listed but in my case the calendar is not linked to an email address.

Have I just misunderstood how to set up a CalDAV calender or am I attempting something non-standard?

Hi, how are you setting up the account? Are you using the automatic setup or do you switch to the Calendar tab, selecting the CalDav option and proceeding with the steps?
What version of eM client are you currently using?

Same issure here. I use the wizard tab Calendar to setup the CalDav. But it woudn’t work.

Thunderbird|Lightning works fine.

I have Test with the newest Version of em Client, but also with the old 5.0.

Nothing.

My Synologys are DS713+, DS214play and DS3612xs+ every with the newest DSM 5.0

Hi, can you specify the behavior after the setup?

If you can proceed with the setup but the account just simply doesn’t show up, I’m afraid this is a synology issue that we’ve come across recently with another user.
Another topic about a setup issue of a CalDav account using a synology server is on this forum, during the communication in this topic we found out that the synology server is returning an invalid value for one specific element.

Hopefully the issue should be reported to synology dev team at the moment and hopefully a fix will come soon.
