Problem Installing V10 (Windows 10)

Current V9 user. Purchased v10, downloaded, and installed.

I followed the advice in the email with the new Activation Key – It directed me to the Menu in the upper left corner in the app to do the usual Menu icon, Help, License, and Activate selections.

The problem is that there was no Menu icon, nor the little eM logo. There was just the Hamburger symbol and a truncated menu that did not have all the functions. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled – same thing. I downloaded the v10 installation file again, installed, rebooted, uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, rebooted, uninstalled, and rebooted for the last time.

Apparently, the installation of the v10 did result in the database being updated, but because they were updated by v10, when I reinstalled and tried to start v9 it could not read the database because it was written by a version later than v9.

Has anyone else had a problem with the v10 Menu not being correct? I’ve asked eM Client to roll back my license status and activation to v9 until I can get things settled, but I’m still concerned about the v10-created database.
