Problem Adding a Label to a Contact

I accessed the Google Contacts website using Windows 10 and Firefox and added an existing label to an existing contact. When I look at the list of the contacts which belong to that label, the new contact is included in the list. In the past,either immediately or very soon after, the contacts for the label in eM Client would also include the added contact. Evidently the syncing between eM Client and Gmail takes place very quickly. This time, however, I cannot seem to get eM Client’s version of the label to include the new contact. Is there something else I need to do?

I tested adding in Google online “a new label to a Contact” and “a Contact within the new label” in the latest eM Client V10, and it seemed to update in eM Client within a few seconds.

However the second time it took a couple of minutes later to automatically appear in eM Client. I suspect that just means the Google contacts online side at the time hadn’t pushed the update due to maybe the eg: Google server was busy at the time processing other things so the sync process took longer.

So if it doesn’t update within a few seconds and you need to edit it in eM Client straight away, then you can force the client to sync by click the “Refresh” button at the top left.

Thanks for the reply, but after 24 hours it still hasn’t shown up in eM’s contacts. Clicking on the label name in Google Contacts lists seven names. In eM contacts it lists only the original six. I’ve refreshed both the eM contacts and the Google contacts several times. The contact in question lists the label name as one of its attributes in Google contacts but not in eM contacts.

Can you do a Google online contact screenshot example of "where the label name is shown as one of its Attributes. Blank out anything personal.

I hope this illustrates the situation I have been describing.

If i add a new Label in Google Contacts online and add a Google Online Contact to that, it then synced to eM Client exactly the same within a few minutes as in the example below using eM Client V10. The Contact Name and Tag / Label name is identical. Tested multiple times.

Even in reverse if i create a new Label in eM Client Contacts and add a contact to that new Label, it syncs exactly the same back to Google Contacts online.

All i can suggest if you have a current paid eM Client Pro or Personal version, to go to the following eM Client VIP Support page and login and lodge a support ticket. Let them know what version of eM Client you are using.

Apart from that others on this free forum who use Google Contacts might be able to help you.

Thanks much for taking time to investigate this. I have a Pro license for version 9. I decided to try one more time, so I removed the label from the new contact and started over very carefully. Lo and behold, eM synced with Google in a few seconds! Don’t know what I did the first time. Sorry.

Great you got it to eventually work. Probably was just a eg: Google Contacts server delay problem synching back to eM Client.
