Privacy: Read receipts still sent when 'Never send read receipt' checked

Read receipts are being sent out despite read receipts being turned off.

Can anyone confirm if they are seeing similar problem?

Reported by a colleague - I’ve just tested this by sending from one account to another and read receipts are indeed being sent back when I have ‘Never send a read receipt’ checked.

I am trying to replicate your issue on the newest version of eM Client 6.0.24928 and the receipt setting works for me.
Can you try the newest version and if the issue still happens, can you tell me what mail account does this issue happen on? What mail provider is it? Is it set up as IMAP/POP/Exchange?

also here is happening that clients still send read receipt when the settings is disabled. Matter starts when we switched from IMAP to Microsoft Exchange online server.
