Same problem, no solution. Pretty disappointing
Well, I am not on any beta. I’m on 26.2, the latest Mac update. Just checked and there was an update for EM Client. Downloaded, installed and still the same issue. Has any progress been made? This is totally ridiculous.
Yeah, it is ridiculous. But Apple is the one, who has broken it. We are still working on some workaround, but the bug is really hard to track and workaround somehow.
I’m not a coder, so I don’t claim that it is an easy fix, but I don’t have any other 3rd party apps that have been affected, including Thunderbird or Outlook. Something is being formatted differently by EMC. I’ve got three printers and the print to PDF option that all are affected by this “bug”.
Yeah, I understand your standpoint and it is always hard to explain that something that works in some other softwares just fine is not caused by our bug. This time the problem is with a mac native user control (webview). We use a different version of the native control and that one is broken in 26.2, but otherwise it is valid and should work and had been working until 26.2. The reason why Apple has not resolved that bug might be that it is not used that often as the second control, but we have good reasons to do so and the replacement is very nontrivial. Long story short it is not always that easy.
But good news in the end. It seems we are quite close to a workaround (we are working on that very hard), so it might be resolved very soon.
Hi eM Client team,
I’m still experiencing the printing bug where Print Preview renders the message in an extremely narrow column (effectively one letter per line / vertical text), and printing produces dozens of pages (e.g., ~40 pages).
I’m honestly really frustrated — it’s already February and this still doesn’t work on my side. Printing used to work fine before.
Important: this happens even when the email has no large signature, so it doesn’t seem related to my signature size. It looks like an HTML/print rendering issue.
Wonderful ![]()
I’m so impressed with the response speed.
Finally, everything works.
