How to stop email from going into “Other” and change to “Primary” moving forward?
From what I’ve read on the forums on V10 categories, “the company is working on a way to move them within eM Client to differant categories”, but atm if you want them in Primary, you would have to “right click on the categories toolbar in a blank area” and disable the Other category via unchecking it in the dropdown fields.
That should then show all th Other category messages back in the Primary tab.

Question: how does em client determine “primary” vs “other” for incoming messages? I don’t think it’s based on who is in my contact list … Also I don’t think I have labels or rules with “primary” or “other”.

I don’t know that answer.
I don’t think categories are determined by AI or from your contacts list as you said, and probably is determined by eg: what’s in the actual email content body.
When you move it to another category, I think from what I’ve read, a rule is then created to always go in the new category for that type of incoming email.

I think you right click on the email in the list of emails in your inbox, go down to category, and change it from whatever it is to ‘Personal’ and it then vanishes from ‘other’ and pops up in your ‘Primary’ list instead.
