Pressing Enter key is sending message instead of adding linefeed

I cannot reliably reproduce this, but it happens several times a day that when I forward a message to someone else and compose the message, pressing Enter causes the message to be prematurely sent instead of adding a newline.

I am Using Version 9.2.1222 (ca10485) on Windows 10 Pro (German).

The default list of shortcut-keys is not altered and the Enter key isn’t assigned to any action.

What could be the cause of this annoying behaviour?

The shortcut is Ctrl + Enter, so it may be you are unknowingly hitting the Ctrl key at that time, or there could be a keyboard sticky key issue.
