Possible bug in Copy Email to Folder

When I click “Copy to folder” for a message in my “Inbox” I get a drop-down list of available folders. I select a folder with Left-Click, and the message appears in the desired folder. However, about 5 or 10 seconds later the message disappears from my Inbox. It remains in the target folder.

If I then open the target folder, and again click “Copy to Folder” but this time I select the Inbox as the copy destination, the message is copied properly, and does not disappear from the folder.

If I try to perform “Copy to Folder” on a message box, nothing happens. The message is not copied and it does not disappear.

FWIW, “Move to Folder” operates as expected.

I carnt replicate that issue. Could be a problem with your installation. Try “closing eM Client” and uninstall and if you have Windows “don’t delete the database” when asked on the uninstall wizard and then reinstall the same version either from the release history page for Windows or Mac or Windows Store if you originally installed it from there. Then reopen and see if that fixes it.

If it still does the same thing. update what version of eM Client you are using and what type of Mail account it is eg: POP, IMAP, Exchange etc

Also if you have Windows or Mac and what OS version you are using.

Same thing just happened again. It happens when I first open EM Client, select a message, copy it to a folder, then navigate to the folder to which I just copied the message. To be clear, the copy is the first thing I do after opening EM Client.

Specifics:
IMAP
Windows 11 Pro, version 10.0.26200 Build 26200
EM Client version 10.4.5326 (97a2e75)

Sry i still carnt replicate that issue with any of my 4 IMAP accounts immediately opening eM Client or while using eM Client. So if uninstalling and reinstalling eM Client didn’t make any differance, then suggest next to go to “Menu / Accounts” and “remove and re-add your IMAP account” and see if that fixes it as could be possibly a problem with your account.

If removing and readding your IMAP account still has the same problem, then suggest to next “try a new database” in case its a problem with your current database, To create a new database first “close eM Client” and then go to the following hidden database folder below and “rename it” to eg: eM Client-Old . Then reopen eM Client and setup as new and see if that fixes it.

(Hidden database folder Windows)
C:\Users%username%\AppData\Roaming\eM Client

If a new database then fixes the problem and you need anything out of your old database, then first make a manual backup via “Menu / Backup” and then see the end of the following page on doing a Partial Restore.

Lastly if a new database still makes no difference, then suggest next if you have a current active paid Pro, Personal or Business version to go to the offical vip support page and login and lodge a support ticket to investigate that.

Apart from that other users on this forum might comment.
