One of my resellers (a small computer store) services customers and inour area lots of them are using Ziggo as their ISP.
Now recently they changed settings in their POP3 servers - they changed port to 995 (993 for imap) and such - all nicely detailed on theur support page.
Since then we never got an em client back to work - it says after double checking: server antwoordt niet - which means server does not repond.
Tested this with MS Mail app in windows - forcing it to connect on POP (it makes some settings by itself: pop.ziggo.nl - it makes pop.ziggo.nl:995:1 / smtp it even uses a completely different port compared to what ziggo suggests: smtp.ziggo.nl:465:1)
this works.
Trying to copy these settings to EM Client wont work as i have to specify a numerical value

What’s the POP “security policy setting” under the port in eM Client ?
Also what version of eM Client are you running, and do you have Windows or Mac and what OS version.
found it: you need the last SSL option for ziggo - the one that says outdated … then it worked - testen on severel custoemrs setups today
