POP3 ISSUES after importing data from Live Mail

Hi Guys,

  1. I did not find a optionin eM to clean the messages in the server after downloading as Live Mail has. Is there?

  2. After installing the Em Client got all the configuration of the Live Email POP3 but give error when
tried to download the contacts. Is there a way to force just download the contacts?

Thanks in advance!
Sergio

To remove messages from the mail server after receiving POP mail, go to “Menu / Accounts” (Pc) or “eM Client / Accounts” (Mac). Then click on your POP account on the left and click the “POP” tab at the top.

If you want the POP messages to be removed from the mail server “immediately after downloading”, then clear the box marked “Leave a copy of messages on the server” as in the first screenshot example below.

However if you want the POP messages to be removed from the mail server “after a day or more”, then place a tick in the box marked “Leave a copy of messages on the server” and “Remove from server after x days” you set being 1 day is the minimum. See second example screenshot below.

(Delete POP messages on server immediately after downloading)

(Delete POP messages on server after X amount of days)

If the POP Contacts didn’t automatically come across to eM Client when you imported or setup your POP account, I would then “export your contacts” from your Live Mail to a eg: “.CSV” file and then Import the contacts into eM Client via “Menu / File / Import / Contacts as comma separated values (csv)” (Pc) or “File / Import / Contacts as comma separated values (csv)” (Mac).

Also when you Import the .CSV file into eM Client, see the following post from @Gary from the below
thread, that shows “how to match up the contact fields” so they will be the same in eM Client.,

During the import, you need to map the fields from the CSV to fields in eM Client.

Some will be mapped automatically if you select the option (1)

Those that aren’t, you can manually map by selecting the drop-down arrow (2) and assigning the correct field.
