POP3 fails the configuration test

When I set up my new email account in eM, the setting for SMTP works OK; but the POP3 setting repeatedly failed the the configuration test.

does your server support POP protocol?
Are you using the correct POP setting?

If you are sure, try to skip the automatic test in the manual setup (which will allow you to finish the setup even if the POP isn’t working) and then perhaps try changing the port numbers and server policy directly in the Accounts window.
