Please clarify 'Terms of use'

I have just read ‘Terms of use’.
I saw this:
“4.2.5 The Customer shall make reasonable efforts to discontinue use of the older version of the Software upon eM Client’s release of an update, upgrade, or new version of the Software.”

Does that mean that I’m legally required to BUY a new license, whenever eM Client releases a new major version, or uninstall the old version?

(If not, you should remove the nonsense from ‘Terms of use’).

No, you are not required to buy anything. It means you should make a reasonable effort to upgrade to the latest version supported by your license.
