Die Mails eines Absenders kann ich in em Client nicht entschlüsseln. Bei allen anderen Absender funktioniert das Entschlüsseln.
Den öffentlichen Schlüssel des Absenders habe ich importiert.
Es kommt die Fehlermeldung:
“Verschlüsselungsdetails
Der Inhalt dieser Nachricht wurde verschlüsselt Dies verhindert, dass andere Personen diese Nachricht ohne Erlaubnis (Zertifikat) lesen können.
Weitere Details finden Sie in den untenstehenden Informationen.

Die verschlüsselten Mails dieses Absenders kann ich in Thunderbird und K-9-Mail (Android) problemlos entschlüsseln.
You don’t use the sender’s public key. You use your own private key to decrypt it. That means your private key that is other half of the pair for the public you sent them.
It is possible they are using an old public key for you that you no longer have the key pair for in eM Client. They are not interchangeable, so if you give someone your public key today, and tomorrow you install a new key pair for yourself, the new one won’t decrypt message sent using the old public key.
To encrypt a message the sender uses their own private key and your public key. The message is then sent to you and you use your own corresponding private key to decrypt it. You don’t need to have the sender’s public key at all.
Public keys can NEVER be used to decrypt messages, as they are public. That would invalidate the whole purpose of encryption.
Ich verwende meinen privaten Schlüssel zum entschlüsseln. Ich gebe auch mein Passwort ein.
Das funktioniert in Thunderbird und in K-9-Mail.
Das funktioniert auch bei anderen Absendern in em Client.
Nur bei einem Absender funktioniert es nicht in em Client.
Die Bank schreibt jedenfalls in der FAQ:
“Damit die E-Mails entschlüsselt werden können, müssen Sie noch den PGP-Schlüssel der xxxxxx hinterlegen. Den Public-Key der xxxxx erhalten Sie [hier]”
Your bank is giving you their public key so that you can encrypt messages sent to the bank.
This doesn’t change the fact that you can decrypt other messages sent to you encrypted with your public key, but cannot decrypt from the bank. Please re-send your public key to the bank and have them update the public key they have on file for you. Once updated, it should work as it appears to not be a problem with eM Client’s decryption (it decrypts others), but rather seems to be with the bank encrypting with the wrong public key when sending.
