I use “eM Client” to download my gmail account mails and calendar to my laptop.

I organise my mails in folder/ labels.

Today I was trying to open some password protected pdf files from the mails downloaded in the client. In spite of providing the right password, the files were not opening. Then I went to the webmail through chrome browser and downloaded the same files. And voila,the files opened with the same password!!

 

What might be the reasons and what could be proper long term solution?

Hello, sorry to see this, is there any error thrown when you try to open the attachment? Are you unable to open the file in a linked application e.g. Acrobat PRO/Acrobat Reader, or does eM Client immediately throw an error after trying to open the file?

What version of eM Client are you currently using on your computer, can you please check the exact release number in Help > About?

Are you only having this issue with your Gmail account?
