Well, I still have messages in the inbox for my two accounts. Certainly not apparently lost anything important.
Thanks John
Checked other folders such as Trash etc. Older files still there, so it seems nothing lost.
With heart in mouth, i uninstalled and reinstalled em client. Message still there! I restarted and the message is still there. HELP
Go to following link and download the fix: https://forum.emclient.com/emclient/t…
You need to run this fix like you run an installer
I have done that, again. Not fixed
Did you go through all install steps? If yes, then raise a support ticket since this fix is failing in your case. It worked on my end.
I followed what it said. Thanks for trying to help.
Hello Rene,
Doeas it happen on EWS account or IMAP account? Also, are these calendars set as internet calendars (read only) or as account’s calendars?
Russel
I see that if you have the free version, which i have, you can only ask for help in the Community now. Impossible to ask for technical expertise.
What is the version of emClient you have? Is it 6.x or 7.x?
HI. I have version 7
Probably that’s the reason you are not able to install the fix. So, update your emClient to the latest version which is 7.2.34711.0. You can download the latest windows version from https://www.emclient.com/download
Once you install the latest version, then go through applying the special fix.
I’ll try that. Thanks so much Sunil
Actually though, I must have done that already today, when i uninstalled and reinstalled from em website.
Go to Help > About and see if the version number is latest or go to Help > Check for Updates. This will confirm if you have the latest version. If you do have the latest version, then you should create a new post ( not a comment) and I am sure someone from emClient would get back soon.
my exact version following your instruction, is 7.2.34959.0 and there are no updates available. So, i should make a new post here ?
Yes. Did you try using Exchange instead of IMAP for your outlook account? I read that using Exchange was one of workarounds.
I am assuming you are using IMAP on your outlook account. I think that fix is meant for IMAP on outlook account and not for Exchange account.
This option was too complicated for me. I don’t want to change anything like that really, as hotmail works perfectly ok on my kindle, and on outlook of course.
I downloaded the update from : https://forum.emclient.com/emclient/topics/reaction-to-the-outlook-com-authentication-problem.
I have the same problem as Carolyn.
The version number I see in “About” is 7.2.34959.0
Sending mail with this new version works. Still not able to receive mail.
In the operations log I see this:
