Hi, I would LOVE to have the option to have new calendar entries set as Private as default. I share my personal calendar Free/Busy info with my business partners and don’t want them to have to see the details of me going to the veterinarian (for example) but only to see if I am Free/Busy. This is a daily issue for me and I think many other users.
which calendar is this? google calendar?
Yes (sorry for not adding that 
). We have several accounts both paid and free hosted by Google.
I also want Private event by default in Google.
I created a eM Client Sleekplan suggestion page where you can vote for that idea.
