Operations connection error

Hello Forum,

I’m getting IMAP and/or XMPP operation connection errors re my gmail account with the following IMAP error log message a short time and every time after opening eM Client:

[IMAP] MailExceptions.ConnectionException: Failed opening connection to server. —> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.

I ran diagnostics in gmail Accounts, and it fixes the problem, but the next time I open eM Client, I get the same operations error box. 

Any ideas would be appreciated.  Thanks, in advance.

could you please screenshot your IMAP server setting for this account from Tools>Accounts settings?

please try changing the Security policy to ‘Use SSl/TLS on special port (legacy)’ option which should change the port number to 993.
