Only a few emails in inbox after new install

I’m seeing only a few emails from 2016 after installing emclient on new Win 10 laptop.  Using KIS. No error messages.  Just no emails.   Uninstalled client on old laptop. Still see synchronizing symbol. Just no more emails…

I rebooted and now contents of the few mails have gone. Crazy. It worked for a few seconds.
