Are you able to change things so it becomes possible to attach an open onedrive document? At the moment it can’t attach them.

I do not believe it is possible to attach any “open” document - if I am wrong and it is possible someone will make a correction.

Is this something Microsoft hogs for itself as you can do it with outlook?
Are you able to change things so it becomes possible to attach an open onedrive document? At the moment it can’t attach them.
Have you tried using the eM Client “Link to One Drive file” option in the desktop app instead of attaching it directly from One Drive, as per the following eM Client support webpage below.
It might then be possibly to still attach & send as a Link to One Drive while the document is open.

If it still won’t attach as a link and send while the document is open, then you would have to close the open document first as it will be “locked in memory” by the OS and there is not normally any way around that as @skybat advised above.
