On new install, only a few emails, mostly spam are showing up in my inbox. Why aren't all of my emails showing up?

Hi Folks, I just downloaded this program after losing window live. Only a few emails, mostly spam are showing up in my inbox. Why aren’t all of my emails showing up? They show up on my phone, so I know they are there. Thank you!!

To solve this I would need some additional information. Who is your email provider and what is that account’s setting?
