Object reference not set to an instance when inserting an attachment

Dear EM Client (users),

My EM Client program is acting strange after the last update. When trying to add an attachment to a message a screen pops up: File XXXXXX couldn’t be attached because of an error: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I have re-installed EM Client and also made a new profile to point out the cause. The problem persists!! Does anybody know a solution ??!?!?
