Not possible to select my default mail accout

Hello, is it possible to define my POP3 mail account as default with W8.1? If i try to do so, I’m told that is impossible, because a standard mail program with IMAP or POP3 and SMTP is needed to send and receive messages.I have no problems to send and receive mails, but by default, the new mail folder from hotmail is opened instead of the bluewin input folder, even there is never a message from the hotmail account. It’s not possible to delete the hotmail account.

In tools - account click on your account you want to make default and click on “set as default”
