Not displaying images and freezing after running for a while

I have two things going on since I upgraded from the free version of eMC 7 to the free version of eMC 8. When offered to try the paid version free for 30 days, I chose not to because the free version has done everything I need it to.

  1. Images in some messages no longer display (they did display in v7).

  2. After running for a while (hours, at least, I leave my computer on all the time), eMC stops responding. Sometimes I can close it by clicking the X button, but clicking anywhere in the client doesn’t seem to elicit any response. A couple of times, it wouldn’t close with the X button and I had to kill it in Task Manager. I run Windows in dark mode, and when eMC stops responding, its titlebar is white instead of the usual dark color.

I will be happy to provide any information I can to help solve these issues.
