I guess this shows up with the latest version
to the right of my screen there is a vertical toolbar
How do I get rid of it?
It is not a new feature, but I think you may have the right side-bar minimized?
You can either expand it again by clicking on the arrow at the top if you want to see it in full, or choose Menu > View > Sidebar > Hidden sidebar to hide it completely.
