New emails not deletable, trash not emptyable as of today. IMAP server is clean, dbrepair and delete and readd account no help

since this Windows session startup, eM Client does not delete 2 new emails I received (they were the only 2 emails) and does not empty trash: the emails reappear.

I verified the emails are gone from the IMAP server by logging into the provider.

I tried dbrepair and deleting and readding my account (I closed eM Client inbetween): these do not solve the issue.

Note: one of the emails in question, Apple Mail on my iPhone continuously marked as unread / read and the other I deleted through Apple Mail already however eM Client on Windows still fetched them from the server, Apple Mail likely did not update the server in time. I closed Apple Mail before I started Windows and eM Client.

How can I solve this isssue?

I’m fine with deleting all local data wrt that account because it’s IMAP and all emails are on the server.

Now, 3 hours later I open eM Client on Windows again and the emails I wanted to delete are gone, as well as the trash is empty.

I now sent myself a test email from eM Client. It is visible on the providers side on the IMAP server in my inbox and in sent mails but it is not shown in eM Client inbox nor sent mails.

Edit: I have the same discrepancy with Apple Mail on my iPhone now. I guess the index on my providers (IMAP) side is broken somwhow.

If you carn’t delete the trash in eM Client “and there is no emails in the trash folder online”, then that usually means you have a database problem and need to manually run the repair.

So if you have Windows see @Gary post below in the following thread how to manually run that.

If you have Mac “close eM Client” and then “open the Terminal app via either Launchpad or Utilities” on the Mac. Then Paste and run the following command.

/Applications/eM\ Client.app/Contents/MacOS/eM\ Client /dbrepair

Yes there might be some eg: Mail server problem atm as it’s now happening in both mail clients.
