Network Solutions, my domain manager, is ending support for TLS 1.0. Network Solutions says that any client must support the TLS 1.2 security protocol. What should I do to be able to receive or send emails using EM Client??
EM Client already has TLS 1.2 support since eM Client V7.
The only problems you can have is with older Windows OS like eg: Windows 7 where you have to modify the registry to get it to work.
So as long as you are using at least Windows 10 min or one of the last 3 Mac OS systems then you won’t have any issues.
Thank you! So its a desktop OS issue then? What part of the registry do I need to modify to get the EM Client to work?
If you have Windows 7, see the following eM Client help documentation page, where at the bottom of the page there is a tutorial and reg file to make the OS work with TLS 1.2.
Note: Reboot after modifying the registry.
Ps I personally would recommend you instead upgrade to Windows 10 as Win 7 is no longer supported at Microsoft (so no OS security updates anymore). Also some of the later eM Client features don’t work on Win 7. So just to be aware of that.
thank you so much!!!

What @cyberzork is correct “Ps I personally would recommend you instead upgrade to Windows 10 as Win 7 is no longer supported”, however, support for Win 10 also finishes in October 2025 - whatever you decide to do be certain to use the Microsoft Media Creation Tool - correctly answering questions will give you a free upgrade.
¡Buena suerte…

Doesn’t version 10 support TLS 1.3? It should since that’s the new standard.

It depends on your OS version.
Yes eM Client V10 does support TLS 1.3 (if you are running the latest Windows 11 or newer Mac OS), where the OS includes and supports those TLS 1.2 & TLS 1.3 protocols.
Windows 7-10 however doesn’t support TLS 1.3 so eM Client V10 only uses up to TLS 1.2 with those older OS versions.
@cyberzork :That’s what I thought, thanks for confirming (Windows 11 here, so all is well). What about Android?
What about Android?
From what I’ve read in Google search, if you are running Droid OS 10 or later TLS 1.3 is already supported in the OS by default.
So the latest eM Client V10 mobile app would also presumably support that as well.
