Natural Language Search in the new Mac V11.0.282 is now “only finding results by email address” from my Gmail account senders “but not by name” with in All Folders selected in the dropdown field and search by Subject, Senders, Recipients, body, notes & attachments selected.
Tested this with two different Mac Computers and two different Gmail accounts with Mac Tahoe 26.6.2
If i search by senders name “it only shows results from their iCloud account” ? where there is no emails from that sender at all as they normally only send email from their Gmail account.
Even if i select “Custom folders” in the dropdown and manually select all accounts & all sub folders etc it still doesn’t find that same senders email by name at all anymore using natural language search and just keeps bringing up their iCloud account email address where there is no emails from them.
However if i just manually “type that senders name in the search field at the top” it finds all their emails instantly on both Mac computer with the same V11.0.282. So its only something with the Natural Language Search that appears to have changed when searching for the same results.
This is an example below of what i would type in the natural language search previously to find emails from one of my gmail account senders that used to work up until this latest version. Now it only works “if i replace their name” with their Gmail email address.

show me all emails from john smith received in the last year
“Finds the gmail sender emails by their email address”
show me all emails from [email protected] received in the last year
