can you connect existing pst file rather than import data from it?
I am almost certain that import will not work (my pst is close to 7gb)

did the import work? Currently eM Client is available to only import. If you store your items at server, it will download all of them from the server.
I did not have patience to wait.
I guess you need to develop a better conversion tool (which does not require usage of outlook itself for faster conversion) or provide native support for pst files
