Name change generates two contacts

This pertains to iCloud contacts synced with eM Client.
On my iOS device, I made a change to a name to correct a misspelling. On eM Client, two contacts appeared: the original misspelled contact and the correct name. I was able to delete the incorrect one on eM Client and had no issues (for example, the correct one remained on iCloud and eM Client).
Just reporting this as a bug. Thanks.
