My email isn't syncing to my PC

I have two gmail accounts set up and eM is the client I use on the desktop (Windows 11) and on my mobile phone (Android 14) . The email stopped syncing on the PC after 20th June this year and I’ve no idea why. The mail is there on Gmail and is syncing to eM on my phone. When I check the operations in progress (the PC app is showing it is syncing but after 3 hours still no new mail has arrived. The status of the operations on both gmail accounts shows as Synchronizing folder list. It’s been like that for a week now. I’m running Avast Antivirus, but this has not been updated for weeks other than the antivirus definitions, which get updated every time I run the PC. Any ideas why this might be happening?

Try completely disabling Avast and then close and reopen eM Client and see if it then receives as the Avast built-in “Mail Shield” usually by default will block incoming mail receiving in the client.

So if it then works with Avast disabled which usually fixes it, then disable the Mail Shield in Avast so the program is still running resident, just not interferring with incoming mail.

However if disabling Avast completely or disabling the Mail Shield makes no differance, then suggest to try removing and re-adding your Gmail accounts via “Menu / Accounts” using the “Automatic account wizard”.

Now if it still won’t receive, could be you might have an outdated eM Client version and might need updating. You can see and download all the latest versions via the release history page.
