Multiple reminders for a single calendar event

I run eMClient in Windows 10. The side bar for Notifications gets filled with multiple reminders for a single event. Is there a way to limit these to one per event, as it drives me crazy?!

Thanks

Hello Community,

Has this issue been addressed? I have the same issue and it is driving me nuts.
I run eMclient ow Windows 11 and use the mobile app also.
‘Use system notifications’ is unchecked.

I have browsed through the forum, but did not come across a solution.
If I missed something, please point me to the page I should have found.

Thanks!

The side bar for Notifications gets filled with multiple reminders for a single event.

You might have imported the same calendar event twice or you might have an error in server synchronization which created a duplicate item causing the multiple reminders to appear. So first check there is no duplicate calendar events.

Also if they are past event calendar reminder notifications popping up, you can disable those via “Menu / Settings / General / Reminders” by checking “Automatically dismiss reminders for past calendar events”.

If you can’t see any duplicate calendar events and they are not past calendar events, then suggest if you have an IMAP, Exchange, Office 365 or iCloud account go to “Menu / Accounts” and remove & re-add your account and see if that fixes it.

Apart from that check you are running the latest V9 or V10 incase you are running and older version that might need updating. If you originally installed eM Client from the webpage you can see and download all the latest versions via the release history page.

Note: If you do update eM Client, make a backup first via “Menu / Backup” incase you need to restore. Also close eM Client before updating.

Thank you for replying cyberzork.

It seems the issue has been solved.
There were no double events and I had v10, but updated to the very last one.

So I was going to remove and reconfigure the account (IMAP) when I realized that I had configured a CardDAV and CalDAV account for contacts and calendar and that both had default folders ‘Calendar’ and ‘Contacts’ configured.

I removed the CardDAV and I now get only one reminder/notification per event and my contacts still seem present.

Thank you again for helping me out!
