Moving with eM Client from Windows to Mac

Can I import an export file with all data and settings from the eM Client v9 in Windows 10 unproblematically in the eM Client v9 in MacOS 12? Or are there differences in the settings and data structures?

The best way to ensure all your data and settings are brought over is through Backup and Restore.

On the PC, create a backup through Menu > Backup. Find the .ZIP backup file, by default in …\Documents\eM Client, and move it to your Mac.

On your Mac, restore from your backup through menu bar > File > Restore. If you put the backup file in …\Documents\eM Client, the restore will find it right away.

As long as eM Client on the Mac is not an older version, you shouldn’t have any issues. If you don’t already have it, you can get the latest Mac release here.

It worked fine with the backup and restore on the Mac.

I was only surprised that after installing the eM Client on the Mac a few days ago, the test period of the Windows PC was also counted, which has almost expired. I had expected the start of a new trial period on the Mac.
