I downloaded eM Client a week ago on my main desktop and love it except that every day or so one or more emails fail to load. Yesterday it was from a friend with a link to a youtube video she wanted me to see. There were no attachments or pictures and it was a small email with no abusive words. It wasn’t in my junk folder. I receive other emails from this friend. I received ten other emails yesterday and this should have been in the middle, time-wise. This email is still on the gmail server. I was aware of it because it appeared on my android phone (whose gmail account is set up as a pop account and doesn’t remove from server). I opened Outlook on my laptop, and it (along with the rest of the emails for the day) promptly downloaded. I do need to be able rely on eM Client to download all and not just some of my emails. Please help!
Hello Ellen,
is the problem of loaded emails with only certain email addresses? Is there any error message in Tools>Operations>Errors that would suggest that there is a problem with synchronization?
What version of eM Client are you currently running?
Regards,
Olivia
No error messages. Not with certain email addresses (one of the missing emails was from eM Client itself). The account is a pop3 account. Running version 6.0.24432.0
Thanks for looking into this.
Hello Ellen,
POP accounts usually delete the original messages from the server (unless set otherwise in the client). Are all your messages left on the server? Is that set from all the devices where you check your emails? Could it be that you check certain messages on your other devices first and then the email is either not on the server anymore or recognized as new from eM Client?
If you check your emails often from different devices, I’d recommend using IMAP setting instead of POP, personally, as that protocol is made for synchronization unlike POP.
Regards,
Olivia
I understand. My devices are all set to leave on server. I originally had it set to leave on server for one day to be sure I always have daily emails viewable on phone–it is now set for 14 days until we figure out why I am not receiving all. All of the missing emails are still on the server. I am a longtime programmer and really do understand about pop and wish to continue using it.
Hello Ellen,
I see, could you then perhaps get the logs from Tools>Operations>Log window next time eM Client fails to receive all messages (even with using the Send&Receive button) to see if there is any error at all? If there is nothing we’ll set up POP logging which will have more details about the communication with the server.

Olivia
