Missing function?

In the left column I see the inboxes:

Inboxes000

In the first line is a blue (sometimes red) number.
Clicking it, nothing happens. I only read:

Inboxes002

How can I read the two unread messages?

Workaround: I find these messages using SEARCH (received-after:2024-07-03)
but that cannot be the sense of an eMail program.

If you only want to see the unread messages, you can find them in the Unread Favorites folder.

I see.
My Favorites Folders:
All Inboxes
Outbox
Sent
Trash

Unread was not displayed.
Now I found it.
